I’M A BAHAMIAN WHO WAS BORN AND RAISED IN NEW PROVIDENCE, SO I CONTACT TRAVELERS ON A DAILY BASIS.
Since 1783, my family has called The Bahamas home. I was born and raised in New Providence, one of the most popular tourist destinations in The Bahamas, just like my forefathers.
I have spent a lot of time among tourists throughout the years. I’ve seen guests make a fair share of regrettable mistakes after working in tourism for three of my university summers and working at Atlantis’ Mandara Spa for a year.
As a resident of the Bahamas for 28 years and counting, I urge visitors to make the most of their stay here and treat the country with the respect it deserves by avoiding these typical blunders.
